Moving to Prescott and don't know what to expect? We love living in Prescott, and we think you will, too! Dubbed "Everyone's Hometown," we're in the mountains of north central Arizona in Yavapai County. Surrounded by National Forest and sitting at a mile-high elevation, we have a perfect climate with four distinct but gentle seasons. There's also Chino Valley, Prescott Valley and Dewey-Humbolt which help make up the Quad Cities.

Our charming downtown centers on an old-fashioned town square with an historic courthouse, but what surrounds it is anything but old fashioned. We have upscale shops and restaurants, art and antiques, and just about everything in between. We're proud to host the World's Oldest Rodeo, plus there's the Heritage Park Zoo, the Folk Arts Fair, Prescott Fine Arts Association, Sharlot Hall Museum, Frontier Days, Territorial Days and Phippen Art Museum.

Prescott is a great place for an active lifestyle, too. You can kayak at Watson Lake, hike, bike, or ride horses or quads in the National Forest, or play one of our many signature golf courses. Although Prescott is consistently rated as one of the best places to retire, there are plenty of activities for all ages.
